All Goa Parish Youth Leaders Meet 2026 YUVA Training Program
The Diocesan Youth Centre organised Young Leaders Meet and Youth United for Vibrant Apostolate (YUVA) Training program on 19th of July 2026 at SJVSR Centre, Old Goa with the theme ‘Abide in Me’. Two representatives from every parish & chapel youth group were invited for this event, which aimed to enlighten the youth leaders about the Statutes, guidelines and planner of Diocesan Youth Centre. The inaugural Mass with the Pilgrim Cross and Mary’s Portrait was celebrated by Fr. Alwin Joyan D’costa cssr. The mass ended with the official release of Diocesan Youth Day 2026 Logo and DYD 26 theme song, ‘Abide in Me’.
Fr. Leslie Gomes delivered a session on ‘Magnifica Humanitas’, encyclical of Pope Leo XIV. Fr. Blaise gave a session on using Social-Media for parish youth ministry. Fr. Blaise conducted Deanery Team Elections of all 19 Deaneries and introduced the Deanery Priest Youth Animators to their teams. Fr. Blaise explained in detail the preparation for the journey of Pilgrim Cross with Mary in November until the Diocesan Youth Day on 13th December 2026.
The leaders of YU4C, MFC & Jesus Youth shared about their work and youth ministry in Goa. ‘The Diocesan Youth Synodal Implementation Team’ led by Mr. Joyston Fernandes delivered a productive session on 3 priority areas for synodal implementation in youth ministry.
For the final announcements; Fr. Blaise announced the concert of Fr. Sandesh Manuel ofm; to be held on 15th of November 2026 at Navelim. Mrs. Dorothy (TRAVCO) gave details of the World Youth Day 2027 in Seoul, South Korea. The program ended with the distribution of YUVA certificates to the 300 leaders and a group photo.
