The Jubilee of Young People, organised by the Diocesan Youth Centre on 26th October, 2025. The same Sunday was also dedicated to the Youth Apostolate in the Archdiocese of Goa & Daman. The Jubilee of Young People was organised at the Zonal Level and was held at three churches designated as pious places for Jubilee in Goa, i.e St. Jerome Church Mapusa, Se Catedral Church Old Goa & Holy Spirit Church Margao. The participants invited for this jubilee were the leaders from each Parish Youth Group from across the archdiocese. Participating youngsters had to come prepared after receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Holy Eucharist.
From the North Zone (10am-12pm) with 6 deaneries around 150 young leaders participated, from the Central Zone (12pm-2pm) with 4 deaneries around 130 leaders, and from the South Zone (4pm-6pm) with 9 deaneries with around 250 leaders participated. The parish priests and their assistants with the youth volunteers of the host parish, gave a generous helping hand during the celebration. The program had dance animations, resourceful input session by Fr. Blaise Lobo, Director of the DYC-GOA, a pilgrim walk with the ‘Youth Pilgrim Cross’ followed by entering the Holy Door and the Eucharistic Adoration.
The Jubilee of Young people was a fruitful venture with the help of the Deanery Priest Youth Animators (DPYA), Parish Priests & Asst. Parish Priest of St. Jerome Church Mapusa, Se Catedral Church Old Goa & Holy Spirit Church Margao. Young leaders expressed their joy in being part of the jubilee celebration, helping them to make a pilgrimage and gain ‘plenary indulgence’ with a message that ‘hope doesn’t disappoint us’ if we mend our relation with our God.
