                The Diocesan Youth Center, Goa-Daman organized the YCS/YSM Inaugural meet for students and the teacher animators of various schools who are part of YCS/YSM movement from all over Goa at St. Joseph Vaz Spiritual Renewal Centre, Old Goa. The Inaugural meet was held to orient the young minds to build a better community and a just society, it was a wonderful opportunity to interact, develop, and be inspired. The director of the DYC Fr. Blaise Lobo welcomed and animated the whole program. The schools that participated were St. Ann’s High School-Tivim, St. Theresa High School-Sto. Estevam, St. Andrew’s Institute-Vasco, Holy Cross High School-Siolim, Infant Jesus High School-Colva, Bethany Convent High School-Areal, Little Flower of Jesus High School-Calangute, Our Lady of Candelaria High School-Vasco, St. Xavier’s High School-Moira, Presentation Convent H. S, Ambaji-Margao, St.Bartholomen’s High School-Chorao, St. Clara’s High School-Assanora, St. Michael’s Convent High School-Vagator-Anjuna, Our Lady of Desterro High School-Vasco, St.Lawrence High School-Agassaim, Our Lady of The Rosary High School-Dona Paula, St. John of The Cross High School-Sanquelim, Holy Cross High School-Bastora, Holy Spirit Institute-Margao, St. Sebastian’s High School-Loliem-Canacona. In the session Fr. Blaise Lobo spoke about ‘what is YCS/YSM’, its history, functioning and mission. The focus was to evolve a new society, where people live in harmony, where there is total freedom for the complete growth of the individual, where each and every person is respected in dignity hence valuing peace, love, truth, justice and equality. The DYC organising team animated the students with lively action songs and coordinated the smooth flow of the entire program. The DYC website, social media platforms and the yearly planner was introduced. It was followed by the photography session of all the students with their respective schools and teachers and also the animators with the Youth Director.
